| Welcome |
| |
|
The traditional Steam Fair came with its usual problems and workloads,
but at least it
stayed mostly dry.
A BIG thank you to all those that worked through the Show.
It has been a very busy season with very hot weather. We would like
you ALL to
know that all your hard work has been very much appreciated.

RE-DELIVERY
|
|
Any RAC
jobs that you take back to base for a re-delivery the next day or
on a Monday,
please tell message link that you are clear but do not give them
any clear down
details. What has happened is that someone called clear the job,
gave all the details
and the job was cleared down, which means that we do NOT get paid
for the re-
delivery.

ISLE
OF WIGHT |
There appears to be confusion on which vehicles can be taken to the
lOW and if they
can be left at the docks. All of the ferry companies will not allow
any disabled vehicle
onto the ferry. If the vehicle is on the back of our recovery vehicle
they will be
allowed across and can be taken to the destination on the lOW. Some
clubs will pay
us to take the vehicle over but you must infotm the control room. |
CALLING
CLEAR |
Would all recovery drivers please call clear when they have delivered
their loads at
their destination. Please do not go back to base, and then call clear,
this is wasted
mileage and does not give the control room the ability to use resources
effectively.

VEHICLE
CHECKS
|
This is just to remind drivers of company vehicles
that it is your responsibility to
carry out basic daily cheeks i.e. oil, water, tyres etc. Any vehicle
defects must be put
on the wipe board in the relevant base.
