The Police are raising the importance of the Vehicle Audit Document,
this is the yellow book for Dorset and the blue book (which
is now red) for Wiltshire. These books have to be completed
for every AADL job in Dorset and every GRG job in Wiltshire.
The VAD is used to record a trail of the vehicle and its details
whilst in our care. It must show the vehicle identity and incident
details, the reason for recovery and the property register entry
number. The form is to be updated and show a full audit of events
that occur during the stay of the vehicle e.g. visits by Police,
Insurance Examiners, SOCO, calls and visits by owners etc. All
relevant correspondance including disposal notices, release
notes, recorded mail stubbs and copy invoices are to be kept
with the VAD. It is of upmost importance that Police vehicle
examiners and SOCO's endorse the VAD correctly and legibly making
a note of any items of the vehicle they may remove. The VAD
should be endorsed promptly and accurately and is to include
all references to telephone calls.

As you know Hannah from our Shaftesbury branch had a baby daughter
on 12th April 2004. Her name is Imogen and weighed in at 8lb 5ozs
at 7.26 in the morning. These are pictures of Imogen, not Hannah. |

MEMBER PROFILE |

Profile of the month is Danny Kett, Danny works in the workshop
at our Salisbury base. Danny also helps out on breakdowns, recoveries
and stands in for John Baldock. Danny sarted with AWR in August
2002
Danny lives with his partner Laura, 3 year old daughter Abigail
and their 1 year old son Adam. With a young family he does not
get much time for hobbies, when he does he enjoys watching banger
racing, playing snooker and 10 pin bowling. |
| One
of Danny's achievements was to drive a Formula Ford around Thruxton
race circuit, which he really enjoyed. Look out Michael Schumacher!
