Ashley Wood Recovery had another good year at the Truckfest show in July. For the
6th year in a row we have won the award for “The Best Turned Out Crew”. Jeff was
presented with the “Roger Dyson Rose Bowl” for Jeff's contribution to the recovery
industry, which is well deserved. Our third trophy was for “Best In Show Post 1990”
this went to AW1 the Scania Rotator, in the picture below. In the picture part of the
show was a demonstration to the public by the recovery industry. With Dragon Res-
cue who also have a Rotator the trailer unit was picked up from the front of the coach
and lifted over the coach to the rear.

SAD NOTE
As you are probably all
aware now, Bob our night
controller has suddenly
passed away. Quite a few
from the Company at-
tended the funeral and met
up with his brother and
daughters. We will be hop-
ing to plant a tree in Bob’s
memory. After talking to
Elizabeth, one of his
daughters, she thought it
would be nice idea to plant
it at Ashley Wood Bland-
ford, where he worked.

Will all drivers/technicians please ensure that all jobs are cleared to the control room
24 hours a day. Also inform them of any toll fees, congestion charges etc because if
we don’t once the job is cleared, jobs can not be updated.
All of the clubs have given us targets to be on scene in under 1 hour of receiving the
job. This means that you must respond straight away to give us a chance of achieving
our targets.
To all of those on the 6 day on 2 day off, please note, that your rest day starts at 08:00
on the day and finishes 48 hours later.
